With the kids out of school and many warm summer days ahead for us in Melbourne, its time to brush up on your swimming pool games. At Aqua Blue Pools & Spa, we are no stranger to the endless amount of fun that can be enjoyed in your backyard pool paradise. Your kids may invent some of their best games on their own, but here is a list of our top 5 swimming pool games to get the fun started!
Marco Polo: Tag with a twist – the player who is ‘It’ must keep their eyes closed. When the player who is ‘It’ calls out ‘Marco,’ all the other players must say ‘Polo’ as they move around to avoid being caught.
Submarine Race: See who can swim underwater to the other side of the pool first.
Treasure Hunt: Toss pennies into the pool and have little swimmers dive to see who comes up with the most loot.
Popsicle: Like freeze tag, but in the pool. When someone has been tagged, they stand with their hands over their head like a popsicle till another player unfreezes them by touching them underwater. A player cannot be tagged ‘It’ while underwater – only when they’re above water!
Scavenger Hunt: Divide players into two teams. Toss pairs of items that will sink (such as two dive rings, two coins, two full water bottles, etc.) into the pool and have the teams try to be the first to come up with one of each item.
